Sterling silver, heavy gauge wire forms a chunky bracelet while still being understated. First, the wire is hand wrapped around a dowel to form rings and then those rings are sawed apart. The rings are tumbled to make them smooth and shiny before they are "woven" into this classic Byzantine chain mail design. The sterling silver lobster clasp has a swivel and is a larger size which makes it easy to get on/off. The woven part of the bracelet measures about 7" and with the clasp and extender, there is a total of 9"(see photo with ruler). The extender adds weight and helps keep the bracelet from spinning around your wrist. The bracelet fits sizes small to large but can easily be made smaller or larger if needed. My wrist is a small size, 6 1/4" and is pictured to get an idea of fit.
