This chainmail necklace has approximately 400 jump rings that are woven into the European 4 in 1 chainmail weave and then the strip is "stitched" together with more rings. Extremely time consuming but worth the effort for the slinky feel! The necklace is one long tube, with no clasp. Simply slip it over your head and wear it with your other sterling silver, brass or gold jewelry. The rings are made from stainless steel and Nu Gold brass and there are four random blocks of color. Nu Gold brass has a coloring similar to gold and doesn't tarnish easily, like brass. See my other listing for a matching/similar bangle style bracelet that just rolls on over your wrist! The necklace is a total length of about 26" and is about 1/2" thick In other words, the diameter is 1/2" and that's comparable to a Sharpie pen in diameter. It was difficult to capture the colors of the rings but while the first photo is rather dark, it actually is the best depiction of the colors.
