SOLD. Five hollow form cylinders were created with etched sterling silver sheet and then strung like beads on a sterling silver omega chain. Each cylinder "bead" requires three soldering operations which makes for very time-consuming construction. Because the beads are hollow, the necklace is lighter in weight then it would appear. It is polished to a high shine and does not have any patina applied. Over time, it will develop patina(tarnish) which will highlight the etched surface. The patina can be left as is or removed by polishing like any other silver piece. The necklace is approximately 18" long and has a sterling silver lobster clasp. The clasp actually can be screwed off so that the beads can be removed and one bead could be worn singly or another pendant could be worn on the chain.
