A classic chain built to last a lifetime!
Hundreds of heavy gauge handmade jump rings are used to weave this slinky chainmail called Queen's chain. The weave is more open than many so it gives this necklace a lighter feel and weight. A patina has been applied to highlight the details and depth of the chain. In the close up photo, you can see that the chain has almost a square or box shape. It is very comfortable to wear and is not stiff. Again, because of the more open weave, the chain has more movement. It is about 1/4" wide and 17" long plus a 2" extender chain for a total of 19" long,. In the photo with me wearing the necklace, I have it at about 18.5" long. Keep in mind that because the chain is thick, it's going to hang a little shorter than a thin chain of the same length. The extender chain gives you the flexibility to shorten it with an open collared shirt or a plain T or lengthen it to be worn with a sweater.
