This cuff is made from steel that has been given a dark brown patina. Swirls of 18K gold have been fused randomly all over the cuff and then it is given a protective wax matte finish on both the front and back to prevent rust. As you can see in the photo, most of the steel has been covered in gold! If the cuff does get wet, just dry it off and you're good to go. The shield-shaped pieterisite stone has lots of blue, orange/brownish, amber and black tones which is a nice complement to the dark brown patina. The bezel for the stone is made from 14k gold fill. The cuff is about 1 1/4 inches wide and the stone is placed so that it extends past the cuff by about 1/8 of an inch. It would fit a small to medium wrist. It is oval shaped to prevent it from spinning around your wrist. While there is some flexibility to the cuff, it is minimal and not recommended that you repeated squeeze it or pull it apart. Although it isn't possible to duplicate this exact cuff or stone, custom orders can be done in your size or with a stone of your choice.
