The focal of this pendant is a vintage brass dog stamping that has been set in sterling silver with brass accents. The stamping is very detailed, is quite raised and has a lot of dimension to it. The brass bezel wire used to set it is very thick and is called a castellated bezel. Brass is "springy" and given the thickness of the bezel wire, it was a workout to bend the wire over the stamping! I hand twisted brass and sterling silver wire to go around the bezel and then all of it is soldered onto a sterling silver back plate. Both the bail at the top of the pendant and the rings to attach tit o a chain are made with the same twisted wire. The pendant measures 1 3/8" in diameter. It is 1 5/8" from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. Including the rings attached to the bail, it is about 2" in total length. The rings have an inner diameter of about 1/4" to allow for a larger chain or thick leather cord. Price above is for the pendant only.
